DAY 240

Those Who Mourn Will Be Comforted

Matthew 5:4
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
Μακάριοι οἱ πενθοῦντες, ὅτι αὐτοὶ παρακληθήσονται
📜 THE VERSE

Blessed are those who mourn, for their grief will one day bring comfort with it.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I rush to cover my grief, or do I sit with it fully until it passes?

📝Reflection

Calling grief a blessing brings no comfort at first. But living long enough teaches it. The days I denied my sorrow and forced a smile, that sorrow never vanished — it hid somewhere in the body. The days I grieved fully, oddly, felt lighter the next morning. Comfort does not come to those who skip over grief, but to those who pass all the way through it. Tears are the mind's drain. Block them, and they will overflow somewhere else.
