Think on Whatever Is True and Lovely
Whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely—think on these things.
What did I mostly dwell on and turn over in my mind today?
📝Reflection
The mind comes to resemble what it dwells on. Paul knows this and tells us to choose what to think about—to set the mind on what is true, just, and lovely. The Greek logizesthe means "to keep reckoning and pondering," so it speaks not of passing thoughts but of lingering ones. I often darkened myself by chewing on resentment and worry all day. We cannot always choose what we see, but we can choose what we gaze at long. In the garden of the mind, only what I water grows.
🌱Apply It Today
If a negative thought keeps circling today, set in its place one good thing that happened.
This verse is read as universal humanistic wisdom, not religion — no faith is promoted, and the reflection is 100% original ONGO content.
