DAY 75

Answering Before Listening

Proverbs 18:13
ORIGINAL
📜 THE VERSE

Answering before listening — that is folly and shame.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Before the other finished speaking, had I already fixed my answer?

📝Reflection

How often an answer that leapt out before I listened shamed me later. A remark half-heard and prejudged usually misread the other person. To listen is not to receive sound but to stand, briefly, in their place. Answering after hearing it all is never too late — in fact, that short wait is what saves the bond.
