DAY 77

A Friend Closer Than a Brother

Proverbs 18:24
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
וְיֵשׁ אֹהֵב דָּבֵק מֵאָח
📜 THE VERSE

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Counting a wide network, am I neglecting the one deep person?

📝Reflection

The older I get, the more I feel that knowing many people does not cure loneliness. Business cards pile up, yet those I could call at dawn number a few. This verse notes that truth plainly: breadth of acquaintance can wound, while a friend closer than a brother stands apart. Keeping one person who sticks close is far harder, and far more precious, than knowing many.
