DAY 90

Make No Friendship with the Angry

Proverbs 22:24
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
אַל־תִּתְרַע אֶת־בַּעַל אָף וְאֶת־אִישׁ חֵמוֹת לֹא תָבוֹא
📜 THE VERSE

Do not befriend a hot-tempered person, and do not go with one given to anger.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Am I unknowingly taking on the grain of the people I keep near me?

📝Reflection

Stay near someone long enough and their tone and temper rub off on you. Beside one quick to anger, you soon find yourself sharp over trifles. This verse is not to hate anyone but to choose, for yourself, whom you will grow to resemble. It is exactly the saying: draw near ink and you turn black. Choosing whom to keep close is, in the end, choosing which self you will become.
