DAY 92

Do Not Wear Yourself Out for Riches

Proverbs 23:4
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
אַל־תִּיגַע לְהַעֲשִׁיר מִבִּינָתְךָ חֲדָל
📜 THE VERSE

Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to restrain yourself.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Chased by the wish for more, am I failing to enjoy what I already have?

📝Reflection

The striving for more has no end. Gain one and you see two; gain two and you see four. This verse tells you to pause that endless race. Wealth itself is not the evil — the trouble is burning up your whole life chased by it. Knowing your measure and being content is, in truth, the greatest wealth. The one who can enjoy what he already has is the real rich man.
