DAY 102

If You Find Honey, Eat Just Enough

Proverbs 25:16
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
דְּבַשׁ מָצָאתָ אֱכֹל דַּיֶּךָּ פֶּן־תִּשְׂבָּעֶנּוּ וַהֲקֵאתוֹ
📜 THE VERSE

If you find honey, eat just enough — too much, and you will vomit it.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Even with good things, do I overdo it until I spoil them?

📝Reflection

Even good things turn to poison in excess — this verse tells it plainly through honey. Honey is sweet, but too much upsets the stomach. Pleasure, work, even love harm a person once they cross the right line. Excess is worse than deficiency. Restraint is not keeping good things away but the wisdom to stop so you can enjoy them long. Stopping at the proper point is what protects the enjoyment.
