DAY 116

A Fool Vents All His Anger

Proverbs 29:11
기원전 10~6세기 편집 (히브리 지혜문학)
ORIGINAL
כָּל־רוּחוֹ יוֹצִיא כְסִיל וְחָכָם בְּאָחוֹר יְשַׁבְּחֶנָּה
📜 THE VERSE

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise person holds it back and calms it.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

When anger comes, do I pour it all out, or let it settle once first?

📝Reflection

Pouring out all my anger feels relieving in the moment, but the cleanup was always long and weary. Words poured out cannot be gathered back. This verse calls venting anger fully a folly. The wise person does not suppress anger but lets it settle once and rules it. The composure that stays steady before a storm is not inborn but comes from practicing the one-beat pause. That single beat guards both the bond and myself.

🌱Apply It Today

When anger flares today, before pouring it out, count to ten and let it settle one beat.
