DAY 192

Something That Leads, and Nothing Lacking

Psalm 23:1
기원전 10~5세기
ORIGINAL
יְהוָה רֹעִי לֹא אֶחְסָר
📜 THE VERSE

Something leads me as a shepherd leads, and so I lack for nothing.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

By what am I led as I walk this path of a life?

📝Reflection

This ancient song has survived three thousand years not for its theology but for "the calm of one who is led." Everyone has their own shepherd. Some place a god there, some a beloved person, some a principle they set for themselves. "Lacking nothing" does not mean having everything. It means that when you trust what leads you, you stop counting what you lack. I always forgot what I had, busy counting what I missed. When trust arrived, the counting finally fell silent.

🌱Apply It Today

When you feel anxious today, name just one thing you trust as your "shepherd." That is your center.
