📜 THE VERSE

In the layered net of jewels, one bead reflects all the others.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

The people I now reflect — what do they reflect back into me?

📝Reflection

The Avatamsaka tells of an endless net of jewels. At each knot hangs a bead, and in one bead all the others are reflected; and within those reflections, again all the beads appear. It sounds like mystical cosmology, but it is simply the shape of the relationships we live daily. I reflect everyone I meet in my mind, and they reflect me. If I cast a harsh expression toward someone, that expression passes through many and finally returns to me. We are not beads shining alone but a net that brightens together by reflecting one another.

🌱Apply It Today

Reflect a clear face toward even one person today. Where that light returns after circling the net, you will learn in a few days.
