DAY 241

The Gentle Inherit the Earth

Matthew 5:5
기원후 1세기
ORIGINAL
Μακάριοι οἱ πραεῖς, ὅτι αὐτοὶ κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γῆν
📜 THE VERSE

Blessed are the gentle, for they will inherit the earth.

❓ TODAY'S QUESTION

Do I measure strength by the loudness of a voice, or by an unshaken gentleness?

📝Reflection

It is easy to mistake gentleness for weakness. But in a storm it is the rigid old tree that snaps, while the reed that bends with the wind remains standing. The gentleness spoken of here is not retreat but the strength to bend. A truly strong person has no need to raise their voice, for they already know their place. To inherit the earth is not to own vast territory, but to hold an unshaken root in life.

🌱Apply It Today

When you feel the urge to raise your voice today, lower it by one octave instead. The words carry more weight for it.
