For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

The heart naturally flows toward whatever it considers valuable. If you check your bank balance often, your heart is there; if you often think of your children, learning, or relationships, your heart is there. This verse commands nothing about what to own or not own. It simply holds up a mirror: watch where your time and attention go, and you will know what you truly treasure.
