I long wondered why an honest answer is likened to a kiss. Because handing over the truth as it is happens to be the most tender act. A pleasing lie comforts for a moment but does not respect the other. To someone you truly cherish, you speak straight without circling. Of course that truth must carry warmth. An honest yet tender word is the place where heart touches heart.
