A Kindness That Does Not End
It is good; its kindness endures forever, and its faithfulness to all generations.
Is there something unchanging in my life that I can lean on?
📝Reflection
The Hebrew hesed means an unchanging, faithful love. The poet sings that though all in the world changes, a certain goodness carries on for generations. We feel anxious because everything sways — people, circumstances, health all change. In such a world, the belief that even one thing does "not change" lays a firm floor beneath the feet. I always staked my heart on changing things and was shaken. But one who keeps a foot planted on something unchanging — whether a principle or an old love — does not fall when the rest shakes.
🌱Apply It Today
Today, write one constant in your life that time has not changed. It is the floor to stand on when you are shaken.
This verse is read as universal humanistic wisdom, not religion — no faith is promoted, and the reflection is 100% original ONGO content.
