Search Me and Know My Heart
Search me and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts, and if there is any crooked way in me, lead me on.
Do I have the courage to look honestly at the crooked ways within me?
📝Reflection
This is a courageous prayer. The poet asks to be searched through and through. Usually we fear self-examination, because facing the crooked ways within, the feelings we hate to admit, hurts. So we keep looking only outward — others' faults are clear while our own stay dark. But growth begins only from looking within. I was long used to blaming others. Yet the only thing I could truly change was myself. To face the crooked ways within honestly — that uncomfortable courage was in fact the fastest road to growth.
🌱Apply It Today
When you want to blame someone today, ask just once: "what part in this is mine to see?"
This verse is read as universal humanistic wisdom, not religion — no faith is promoted, and the reflection is 100% original ONGO content.
